The Origins of Nihonsiki Karate

Cultivating discipline and empowering our community since our founding.

Nihonsiki Karate Group

The roots of Nihonsiki Karate & Sports Federation (NKSF) go back to the early development of Goju-Ryu karate training in India. The journey began in the early 1980s with dedicated martial arts practice, participation in national tournaments, and the organization of training camps to develop students and promote traditional karate values.

Early Years (1982 – 1998)

Between 1982 and 1998, karate training was conducted under the Gojukai system, guided by experienced sempai and senior practitioners. During this period, students regularly participated in national-level karate tournaments, helping to build competitive experience and strengthen the martial arts community.

Training activities included two major camps every year, which played an important role in improving technical skills, discipline, and martial arts understanding among students.

These years laid the foundation for the structured development of karate training that would later lead to the formation of a dedicated organization.

Establishment of Nihonsiki (1999)

In 1999, the first branch of Nihonsiki Karate was established at Biplmal Apartment, marking the official beginning of the Nihonsiki system.

The organization was founded by Founder L.P. Sarang, who played a crucial role in developing and promoting karate training through a structured system that emphasized discipline, technique, and character development.

Senior Black Belt Members

Over the years, several dedicated practitioners have contributed significantly to the growth of Nihonsiki Karate. Among the most senior black belt members are:

  • Kyoshi Laxmikant Sarang
  • Sharad Ingale Sir
  • Rakesh Gadre Sir
  • Sunil Tripathi
  • Nyanda Gadre
  • Mithest Vyadye
  • Rajesh Yadav

These senior practitioners have helped train students, support academy activities, and expand the reach of Nihonsiki Karate.

International Affiliations

To strengthen technical development and maintain connections with global karate organizations, Nihonsiki Karate established affiliations with several international martial arts bodies.

Kenyukan Gojuryu Kobudokai – Australia

One of the earliest international affiliations was with Kenyukan Gojuryu Kobudokai Australia, under Hanshi Alexander Arya (8th Dan Black Belt). This affiliation helped connect Nihonsiki Karate with international standards and traditional Gojuryu karate practices.

Ishin Kai Karate – USA / Pan America / Okinawa Gojuryu Karate India

The organization later developed affiliation with Ishin Kai Karate, which has connections with the USA, Pan America, and Okinawa Gojuryu Karate India, further strengthening the global network and technical exchange.

Meibukan Gojuryu Karate

Nihonsiki Karate also established affiliation with Meibukan Gojuryu Karate, one of the well-known traditional Goju-Ryu karate systems, helping maintain authenticity and traditional martial arts values.

Today, Nihonsiki Karate & Sports Federation India continues to promote karate training for students of different age groups. The organization focuses on:
